The municipality Brenzone consists of 24 small villages, which are spread over a huge territory in the Northwest of Lake Garda. Brenzone is 46 km far from the provincial capital Verona. It covers an area of approx. 50 km², with an altitude of 65 m (226 ft), up to 2.200 m (7.218 ft) on the summit of Monte Baldo.

The most important villages are: Magugnano (the municipalities capital), Sommavilla, Porto, Castello, Maringa, Assenza and Castelletto with 1.864 inhabitants in total. Furthermore 688 inhabitants scattered across small hamlets in the mountains which consist of a few houses only and which names are beginning with “Ca” (house). Castelletto, the biggest village, has a very beautiful and picturesque old town.

At the opposite side of Assenza there is a small island named “Trimelone”, which has accommodated a military depot in the First and Second World War.

The small harbor villages are well known for their fish specialties.
