{"id":8051,"date":"2019-04-08T10:33:25","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T08:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hcampagnola.com\/en\/?p=8051"},"modified":"2019-04-08T10:33:25","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T08:33:25","slug":"the-easter-dove","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hcampagnola.com\/en\/the-easter-dove\/","title":{"rendered":"The Easter Dove"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The dove is the <strong>typical dessert<\/strong> the main defining thing about Easter.<\/p>\n<p>It is a leavened cake with ingredients very similar to Panettone and Pandoro but shaped like a dove.<\/p>\n<p>This cake traditionally closes the Easter lunch with chocolate eggs.<\/p>\n<p>Since ancient times, infact, the egg and the dove were attributed<strong> strong symbolic values<\/strong> of peace, rebirth and love.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Easter origins are much more recent.<\/p>\n<p>Dino Villani, communications director of the Milanese Company <strong>Motta<\/strong>, already famous for his Christmas panettone, in the 1930s created <strong>a cake similar to the panettone<\/strong>, but destined for the solemnity of Easter\u00a0in order to exploit the same machines and the same pasta.<\/p>\n<p>Then the recipe was taken up by Angelo Vergani, who in 1944 founded Vergani srl, a Company from Milan that still produces doves today.<\/p>\n<p>The boom and the definitive consecration of this<strong> sweet Easter symbol<\/strong> is due to the advertiser Cassandre in 1930.<br \/>\nMotta commissioned him a poster on the dove with the slogan \u201cColomba Easter Motta, the sweet that tastes of spring\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The dove is the typical dessert the main defining thing about Easter.
