It can be found in the mountain areas on the west bank of Lake Garda (the &#8220;Alto Garda Bresciano&#8221;), on the Monte Baldo and on the morainic hills of Lake Garda. Here you can find and taste the most popular truffles.\u00a0The precious black truffle has a pleasant and intense aroma and it is particularly well digestible, which makes it one of the most popular truffles after the white one. Its shape is tubular and its size varies from that of a nut to that of an apple. It usually matures between November and March. The black summer truffle (&#8220;Scorzone&#8221;) and winter truffle (&#8220;Trifle nera&#8221;) are slightly\u00a0less appreciated, but still\u00a0often used in local cuisine. The precious white truffle &#8211; which can also be found around\u00a0Lake Garda &#8211; is the most famous and most popular truffle in Italy. Among the edible truffles, it is the largest and can be irregularly rounded or tubular. Its shell is smooth and white-yellow. Its aroma is intense and pleasant and its pulp\u00a0is delicate and easily digestible.
