Even though in the past it was a &#8220;poor people food&#8221;, like it&#8217;s main ingredient, this dish will surprise you with its taste and peculiar consistency.<\/p>\n<p>Clean the cod, slice it in tiny pieces, dip it in flour. In a casserole fly slighly in oil some cminced shallot, then add\u00a0chopped tomatoes, salt and pepper. Let it stew for 10 minutes, then add the cod pieces. Put the casserole on a slow heat for 20 minutes and then sprinkle it with minced parsley.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime prepare the polenta. Pour into salted boiling water the cornmeal and stir for 40 minutes until it is ready. You want to\u00a0obtain the consistency of a thick porridge.
