The Veronese Mountain zone is the homeland of an entire ethnic group of people (the Cimbri) who have kept their language customs and traditions.<\/p>\n
There are many hypothesis about their origins: the main one says that they are people coming from the limit zone between Tirolo, Svevia and Baviera. The “Cimbri” settled here to exploit woods, authorized by the Rover\u00e8 Veronese Municipality to help local people to deforest.<\/p>\n
Their name should derive from an old german alteration of “Zimberer”, which means carpenter.
