Scheduled from April 15th to 18th, Vinitaly leads to the discovery of the taste of the Italian land. Between events, tastings and conferences, the four days of the exhibition will attract about 128 thousand visitors from 142 different countries.
With more than 4000 exhibitors from 30 countries, Vinitaly dominates itself as the most important international exhibition for wine and distilleries.
Since its foundation, in 1967, when the event was still called “Giornata del vino Italiano”, it has become a meeting place for producers and consumers spreading the culture of wine all over the world. For this reason the exhibitors do not only include wineries, but also suppliers of products for the preparation of wine, researchers and others.
Since the 80s, the “Salone dell’Oliva” and the “Salone dei Distillati” have also been set up within the exhibition, making Vinitaly an event even richer in typical Italian products.
Since the 1990s, the event has become increasingly popular internationally, attracting countries beyond Europe such as China, Russia, Japan, Canada, USA and Brazil.
Today the market is constantly expanding and it is expected that this will remain the same for the next few years.
In the 52nd edition, the events will give you the possibility to understand the sustainability in wine production, how to recognize wines through their tastes, understand the new frontiers of wine in the world and take awareness to the emerging producers. Obviously there will be tastings of typical wines of Verona such as Amarone, Valpolicella, Lugana, Custoza, Recioto, Valdadige, Soave, Bardolino, created with traditional or even innovative methods.
The wine will not be the only thing that will delight your taste buds, in fact, thanks to the presence of many internationally renowned chefs, the dishes you can sample will allow you to taste even more the tradition and uniqueness of products made in Italy and the Italian kitchen.
