Museum Sisan

The ethno-anthropogical  museum recalls the multiple century ornithological fair which takes place still today on the 8th September in Cisano: “Sagra dei Osei” – The Bird Fair. Up to the 1960s the fair with its specialized market represented  an important event for the poor economy of the lake area. It was a time when provisions and exchange of tools tied to agriculture, fishing and all above wine making took place. A modern museum that presents its exhibits with the use of various multimedia supports in Italian, English and German. It is divided  in: representation of the fair, the fishing room with films that describes the ancient ways of fishing on the lake from 1500 onwards, an important ornithological exhibition divided into areas of nesting (it is also possible to listen to the birds songs of the exposed species) and a vast collection of old tools, used in everyday life in bygone time.
