The old town of Affi opens every year to visitors with hidden corners full of history, which is thanks to the residents and their passion for this historic festival. The village lies at the foot of Mount Moscal, on which was in 1200 the medieval hermitage of St. Andreas. The streets and courtyards are typical for a rural village, with many open spaces where the citizens met for a chat.
In the days of the event Affi comes to life, behind every yard gate waits another surprise, as on a film set with stalls, merchants, street performers, music and dancing, knights and ladies, archers, flag wavers and horses. A colorful bustle with many scents and dishes of ancient times. At 17pm opens the Medieval Market and from 19.30pm the gastronomic stands. From 21pm music and dance performances in the squares and courtyards. On Saturday also a medieval banquet (20.30pm by appointment) and at 23pm in the town square a performance with torches, flags and duels.
