Garda cuisine, His Majesty, the fish from the lake is served.

At one time the fish of the lake was looked upon with suspicion, like a painful stop in the absence of salt water delicacies. Things have changed, all the restaurants on the Garda Riviera have at least one dish based on fish from the lake. Fortunately, the most sensitive travelers today seek a complete experience from the sensorial point of view and above all authentic to the reality that each territory has to offer.

The fresh catch: coregoni, perch, sardines, tench and eels, some pike and very rare carpione. The fishiness of the largest Italian lake basin is on good levels. Part of the fish is transformed into splendid products that give back all the charm of the lake’s aromas and enrich the offer of the Cooperative Fishermen’s point of sale in Garda. To recommend ravioli stuffed with smoked lavarello and tench, the paté of lavarello and naturally the sardines in oil.
